Business Engagement Program

In 2016, the City of Southlake adopted its Economic Development Master Plan which included a strategic focus on supporting existing businesses through various business retention efforts. One key element of these efforts is the City’s business engagement program, where business visits are used to build relationships with local businesses, understand how the City can provide support and learn about challenges and concerns facing our local businesses in various industries.

Through this program, visits with businesses occur in a couple of ways. First, all new businesses receive a welcome visit from a member of our economic development team. This visit establishes a point of contact with our office and also provides an opportunity to deliver a helpful resource packet. Second, our team also works with City of Southlake volunteers to schedule on-site, or virtual, visits to conduct a brief conversational interview and introduce the business representative the to Department of Economic Development & Tourism and their role supporting businesses in Southlake.

If you’d like to schedule some time for us to visit your place of business in Southlake, reach out to us and we’d be more than happy to schedule a visit to learn more about you and your business.
